Holiday Sales Were Outstanding at Phoenix Events

On October 22, 2022, Kindle sales for Asesina placed the novel on Amazon’s Top Fifty Best Sellers List for Medical Thrillers. Extremely proud of this achievement since it’s the second time in two years that Asesina has earned this designation.
Reagan Roth, publisher, Black Rose Writing, announced that Asesina will be the publishing house’s featured novel for its upcoming Bookshot Promotion on October 19. “We continue to be excited about Asesina’s sales especially in our international markets,” said Rothe.
Recent book event in Santa Cruz was well-attended and I met several avid Asesina readers. Beautiful weather; the entire day was really special.
Publisher placed a full-page advertisement for Asesina in the Summer Issue of Strand Magazine. This literary magazine has a circulation of over 55,000 readers. I’m excited that Black Rose Writing continues to support Asesina with its multi-platform advertising efforts.
Spent time this week developing a new media campaign for “Asesina” with my publisher. Details coming soon.
Working hard on my new manuscript . . . really excited about this follow up novel which is entirely set in Colombia.

Jeff is on assignment, but managed to express his appreciation. Author Craig Keffeler and Asesina’s publisher, Black Rose Writing, donated copies of the novel through the military’s Operation Paperback program.

Working hard on the follow-up to Asesina. About 60% percent finished on the first draft. It’s looking good. I’m excited.

Christopher Miller, Marketing & Social Media Director, Black Rose Writing, announces a worldwide Kindle promotion of Asesina on January 7. “Our entire media efforts will be focused on promoting Craig Keffeler’s Asesina,” according to Miller. “His debut novel has been well-received by both readers and critics.”

Met many enthusiastic Asesina readers during our multi-stop book event on Tampa Bay’s beautiful Riverwalk. Despite a brief downpour, the sun came out and it was a great time.
Back in Florida for some beautiful weather and a book event in downtown St. Pete’s. Several “Asesina” readers on hand to discuss the novel. Signed quite a few copies.
Was selected to be a participating author for a bookstore signing tour held in Seattle’s downtown area. Again, met several enthusiastic readers and had a great time at five different book outlets/stores.

I imagine even the most successful writers never get tired of seeing their books featured in their local libraries. For a first-time author it was a wonderful experience. The Ashland (OR) Public Library fully reopened last week—and there was my debut novel, Asesina, displayed in the Featured Selection rack. Really cool.
My publisher, Black Rose Writing, received a special Memorial Day note of appreciation from Operation Paperback for our donation of copies of Asesina to U.S. troops worldwide. A very nice gesture.
